The Kentucky Division of Emergency Management has activated the Commonwealth Emergency Operations Center at Level II in response to increased flooding around the commonwealth. The National Weather Service offices serving Kentucky have issued several flash flood warnings, flood watches and flood warnings as radar indicates heavy rain, as much as 6 to 8 inches in some areas, has fallen as this system continues moving through the state.

As of 8 a.m. Monday, Scott County had received 2.86 inches of rain, said Jack Donovan, director of the Georgetown-Scott County Emergency Management Agency and Office of Homeland Security.
