Now that Toyota Motor Manufacturing Kentucky has celebrated more than 25 years of operation in Georgetown, more than 20 percent of its workforce is nearing retirement.

Nearly 2,000 Toyota employees nationwide will have at least 22 years of service by March 31, 2013. The majority of those, as many as 1,600, are TMMK employees, said Rick Hesterberg of TMMK. Toyota team members with 25 years of service receive 100 percent of company provided medical benefits.
