Kentucky State Police Post 12 will conduct periodic traffic safety checkpoints at locations in Scott County approved by the Kentucky State Police Policy and Procedures Manual.
There will also be special traffic enforcement in high collision areas using radar, laser and saturation patrols, according to a KSP news release.
Traffic checkpoints are conducted in an effort to enforce state traffic laws. Special attention will be paid to occupant protection (seatbelt adherence), sobriety and registration violations, according to the news release.
The roadway locations in Scott County for traffic safety checkpoints include, but are not limited to:
— U.S. 25 at Fayette County line
— U.S. 25 at U.S. 460 by-pass (south limits)
— U.S. 25 at Delaplain Road
— U.S. 62 at U.S. 421 intersection
— U.S. 62 at Gunnell Road
— U.S. 62 at I-64 intersection
— U.S. 460 in Newtown
— KY 32 at U.S. 25 intersection
— KY 227 at Bond Pike
— KY 368 at KY 227 intersection
— KY 1963 at Kyle Road (Fayette County line)
— KY 1963 at Lemons Mill Road
