The rotating exhibit hall will be dedicated in honor of former Judge-Executive George Lusby on Sunday, June 9, at 2 p.m. at the Georgetown & Scott County Museum.

The rotating exhibit hall has not had a name in the museum’s history until now.

“It was recommended that we dedicate (the rotating exhibit hall) to George Lusby given the fact that he has been so supportive of the Georgetown/Scott County Museum,” said Museum Director Ruthie Stevens. “He has that vision for where we should be as far as preserving history and letting the folks know about the history of the ‘most wonderful place in the world to live.’”

Georgetown & Scott County Museum board of directors decided unanimously to name the room The George Lusby Room.

The rotating exhibit hall currently features the Past Local Officials exhibit.

The Past Local Officials exhibit will run through September.
