One woman was transported to the University of Kentucky hospital Monday afternoon with what authorities called life-threatening injuries after a one-vehicle accident.
The wreck happened in about the 6000 block of Cincinnati Pike when the vehicle left the road, went through a wood fence twice before coming to rest at the bottom of a steep embankment. It actually took Scott County Fire Department responders several minutes to locate the vehicle as it was obscured from the road.
Scott County Sheriff's Office Sgt. Jeremy Nettles called the driver's head injuries life-threatening, and firefighters believe she was struck by a plank from the wood fence.
