Margaret Lorraine Poore
Loving mother, friend and ‘G-ma’
Margaret Lorraine Poore, 78, widow of Marvin L. Poore, passed away Wednesday, June 12, 2019, in Lexington, Kentucky. She was born in Indianapolis, Indiana, to the late Walter Vados and Lucille Tomey Goodman. Margaret worked for 31 years with the Indianapolis Post Office as a Data Collection Technician. She was a loving mother, friend and “G-ma” to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She enjoyed spending time with her family and many friends, frequenting her favorite restaurant, FatKats, socializing and “Krogering.” She especially took pleasure in her trips to the nail salon and hair salon to visit with her friend Sonya. She loved fashion, flip flops, the beach and her bling. Ms. Marge never met a stranger, and always had a smile for everyone she came across. Her generosity was boundless.
She leaves to cherish her memory, her son and daughter-in-law, Jeffrey and Leslie Poore of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina; her daughter and& son-in-law, Tammara and Bill Andrews of Georgetown, Kentucky; grandchildren, Justin P., Kacie Majors, Danielle Flynn, Nicholas Poore, Cody Andrews; great-grandchildren, Isabelle Murphy, Elina Poore and Clark Majors; and sister, Sandra Kay Connor of Indianapolis, Indiana. Margaret is preceded in death by sister, Dorothy Weaver, Betty Sparks; and brother, James Goodman.
A celebration of Marge’s life will be held Saturday June 22 2019, from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. at 132 Darby Drive in the Toyota Avalon Suite in Georgetown, KY.
