Another tourney win caps dream season

As part of the Tournament of Titans a fundraiser Sept. 28-29 for the Royal Spring Middle School baseball team at the brand new Great Crossing Park, the Scott County 12U baseball all-star team defeated Louisville Legends, 7-4, in the championship. Scott County All Stars finished the season with a record of 24-3-1, including the Babe Ruth/Cal Ripken Eastern Kentucky state championship and the Ohio Valley regional runner-up trophy. At one point this summer, the team won 16 games in a row. Out of seven tournaments played this year, they played in five championship games, winning four and finishing runners up in another. They beat two teams ranked in the regional top 10 by Travel Baseball Rankings.
