Archers take over park for weekend battle

Members of the Central Kentucky Junior Olympic Archery team competed on the home range at Scott County Park in the Bluegrass Bow-Down tournament on Saturday. The event, which was held in conjunction with Festival of the Horse, was a challenging and grueling contest shot over two days. Each archer shot 90 arrows per day from three different distances, depending on the age class of the archers.  Central Kentucky JOAD has now competed in three major competitions this year, with its archers earning top spots in each of the three championships. For more about the local winners, please see Thursday’s edition of the News-Graphic.
