Different Williams, same result, representing Scott County Lady Cards on national level

Fans of the Scott County High School girls’ basketball team have heard plenty of news about Malea Williams this summer. The Lady Cards’ 6-foot-3 forward, a rising senior, has made waves with her play for Kentucky Premier 17U at a series of national showcases, not to mention a flurry of NCAA Division I scholarship offers that now numbers more than a dozen. Malea isn’t the only Williams getting it done while representing SC in the traveling spotlight, however. Soon-to-be sophomore Timothi Williams, a key player off the bench for last year’s 11th Region championship team, appears poised for a big leap this coming winter after a sensational offseason. “Timmi,” as she is known, earned a national championship at a Nike tournament in Atlanta this past week with her age group team out of the Kentucky Premier program.
