Horesy Hundred cycling event begins today

According to the site, Friday’s start location is in Versailles, while routes on Saturday and Sunday are slated to begin at Georgetown College. 

Although no official start time is in place, cyclists are encouraged to begin at times listed in the App Experience Schedule to ensure they are not too early or late to rest stops, the website states. 

“The Horsey 100 welcomes cyclists from all over the country and internationally for road cycling and southern hospitality. Riders travel through quaint historic towns and along backroads bordering some of the world’s most famous horse farms,” says the Georgetown/Scott County Tourism website. 

According to a Facebook post made by Georgetown/Scott County Tourism, drivers in the area are encouraged to “share the road” with cyclists.
