COVID-19 testing will be available by appointment starting this Saturday, said Dr. Crystal Miller, WEDCO public health director.
WEDCO is the public health agency that serves Scott, Harrison and Nicholas counties and home health in Bourbon County.
“We will start this Saturday (May 16) at the Georgetown College’s football stadium (Toyota Stadium) at 100 Crawford Drive,” Miller said.”It will be a drive-through and will be by appointment only.”
The Saturday drive-through testing will be from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and will be this week only.
Starting next week and continuing indefinitely, curbside testing will be held at the Scott County Public Health Department at 300 East Washington St. from 9 a.m. - 11 a.m. every Monday and Wednesday. All testing will be by appointment only.
Appointments can be made at www.wedcohealth.org.
Those tested will be contacted via telephone with the results within 24-to-48 hours.
WEDCO will continue the Monday/Wednesday curbside testing schedule at the health department until further notice, Miller said.
“We plan to keep testing until people don’t wanting any more testing,” she said. “We have plenty of tests, and we don’t care if you are a Scott County resident. We’ll test anyone, as long as they make an appointment.”
All COVID-19 tests are free.
