A £2.2 million ($2.7 million) electric hypercar set new Guinness speed world records on May 23.
The Aspark Owl hypercar broke the record for the fastest electric production car at 198mph.
Manufactured by Japanese engineering firm Aspark, the all-electric battery-powered sports car achieved the feat under the auspices of the UK Timing Association at Elvington Airfield, Yorkshire.
The two new Guinness World Records are:
Fastest Average Speed over eighth mile by an electric car 309.0270 kph / 192.0205 mph
Fastest Average Speed over quarter mile by an electric car 318.8574 kph / 198.1288 mph

The Aspark Owl hypercar can accelerate from 0-60mph in 1.72 seconds. Taking about 40 minutes to charge using a fast charging station, it boasts a top speed of 260MPH (413kph) and a range of 250 miles (400km).
Aspark plans a production run of 50 vehicles built to order.
They will be supplied within approximately 12 months at a price of £2.2 million ($2.7 million) each.
Aspark CEO Masanori Yoshida said: "It is a delight to set a new Guinness World Record.
"We wanted to show that the Owl is not only a beautiful looking machine but it can demonstrate high amazing acceleration and speed delivered by its powerful motors."
Aspark is an engineering company based in Japan, Osaka and has been working on the development of the Owl electric ultra-performance vehicles since 2015.
The growing company has more than 3,500 employees (2022) and 25 offices worldwide.
