Martha Ida Thompson

Martha Ida Thompson, 76, wife to Herschel Thompson, died on Thursday, Oct. 4, 2018, at her home. She was born on March 29, 1942, in Sharps Chapel, Tennessee, to the late Pete and Willie Woods Vinoski. Martha was a member of Trinity Baptist Church in Middlesboro, Kentucky, and she was retired from Appalachian Regional Hospital business department. Martha enjoyed flower gardening and her roses, and loved spending time with her grandchildren.
Along with her husband, she is survived by daughters, Barbara Kay (Mitchell) Floyd, Leisa (Len) Miracle and Karen (Tim) DuVall, all of Georgetown, Kentucky; grandchildren, Amanda Floyd, Kayla (Tom) King, Nicole (Brad) Levy, Cherub DuVall and Josh DuVall; and great-grandson, Harrison Lee King. Martha is also survived by sisters, Billie Epperson and Anita Strickland, both of Louisville, Kentucky.
Funeral service was 4 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 7, 2018, at Tucker, Yocum & Wilson Funeral Home with Chaplain Rick Snyder officiating. Graveside service, Monday, Oct. 8, at 11 a.m. Visitation was 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, at the funeral home. Burial will be in Georgetown Cemetery, with the following serving as pallbearers,Mitchell Floyd, Len Miracle, Tim DuVall, Josh DuVall, Tom King and Brad Levy. Honorary pallbearers are Chester Epperson, David Strickland and Jimmy Underwood.
